Beau Bell
Outside Linebacker
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 210 pounds
Class Year: So
Experience: 1V
Hometown: Tustin, CA
High School: Tustin
Scouting Report
The good: Athletic senior linebacker has been a very productive and versatile defender. He has the athleticism that NFL scouts want in a premier pro linebacker. He runs well and make tackles sideline to sideline. In run support, he combines both quickness and power to grade out high. He has the ability to shed and slip blockers. Over his final season, he displayed improvement in his ability to drop in coverage and make plays on the ball. When he plays with high intensity, he can make plays late on the down that others never finish. He has improved his instincts late in his career.
The bad: He is still raw in pass coverage, and that probably limits him to a two-down player. He shows only marginal awareness in coverage and his change of direction skills are only adequate. His recognition skills to match up with running backs and tight ends is suspect and not ready for any type of nickel backer role with coverage duties. Over his career, he has struggled with durability. He missed time with an ankle injury as a junior. He did not fully participate in the NFL Combine due to a bruised knee.

Martin Rucker
Tight End
Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 255 pounds
Class Year: Sr
Experience: 4V
Hometown: St. Joseph, MO
High School: Benton HS
Scouting Report
The good: This mobile, athletic tight end shows good running skills after the reception. As a receiver, he displays sure hands and a keen understanding of pass coverage that has allowed him to find openings and provide a fine target. He has only adequate deep speed to get into the middle seam and break a play. He gets into his routes with good speed and the ability to retain his speed well at the breakpoint.
The bad: He would really benefit from strength work that would help him become a complete prospect. As a blocker, he needs to learn to use his size and agility to get more movement at the point of attack. He relies more on finesse than power. He usually catches the block rather than initiating contact. He also fails to sustain well and is more of a quick-hit blocker. He also takes poor angles at times.
Ahtyba Rubin
Nose Tackle
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 326 pounds
Class Year: Sr
Experience: 1V
Hometown: Pensacola, FL
Prior School: Trinity Valley CC
Scouting Report
The good: Rubin is a strong, bulky nose tackle with the size, strength and athletic ability to start and plug the middle of a 3-4 defense. He plays with desire and gives good second effort, which allows him to utilize his adequate speed to make plays inside the box.
The bad: He will get pushed back and controlled by the blocker too easily at times, and he needs to improve his hand use and awareness to hold the point against the run. He was a limited pass rusher throughout his career and is probably limited to a run-stuffing role as a pro.
Paul Hubbard
Wide Receiver
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 215 pounds
Class Year: Sr
Experience: 3V
Hometown: Colorado Springs, CO
High School: Widefield
The good: Has rare size and athleticism. ... A medal-winning Big Ten sprinter. ... Well-built and doesn't shy away from contact. ... Knows how to use his size. ... Tracks the ball over his shoulder. ... Has soft hands and good upside. ... Improved route-running ability but still can make improvements there.
The bad: Has natural ability and flashes with his size and athleticism, but runs hot and cold. ... Doesn't gain consistent separation. ... Runs sloppy routes. ... Drops a lot of catchable passes but will make the highlight-reel grabs. ... Missed seven games in 2007.
Alex Hall
Defensive End
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 225 pounds
Class Year: Sr
Hometown: Glenarden, MD
The good: Tall, wiry frame with long arms -- a prototypical 3-4 outside rush linebacker. ... Very quick off the edge, both standing up and with his hand on the ground. ... Tracks down quarterbacks and running backs from behind with good closing speed. ... Secures tackles with those long arms. ... Fair change of direction skills and is able to keep containment even if fooled at first. ... Violent with his hands, causing linemen to lose their grip on him despite his lanky build.
The bad: Does not have a great motor or elite speed. ... A drag-down tackler who does not bring his hips through the ballcarrier. ... A lack of bulk makes it difficult for him to fill a hole or hold his ground against offensive linemen. ... Dominant against small-school competition, where the majority of running backs and quarterbacks do not have elite athleticism and quickness. ... Will need to prove himself on special teams coverage units to make a roster.
